Virtual Architecture Ltd. v. Rick

Philippines company Virtual Architecture invested $4.3 million in a fraudulent investment scheme involving European securities. Multiple investors deposited tens of millions of dollars in Swiss bank accounts controlled by defendant Rick, who acted as a purported escrow agent for the scheme’s mastermind, who was never found. After our firm located a key witness living in the Seychelles off the island of Madagascar, we obtained a Court order to allow that witness to testify via satellite in the courtroom. A Federal jury awarded Virtual Architecture damages of $4.3 million for breach of contract.
